In it, Yollanda shares her experiences with growing up multilingual and how this has shaped her views on multilingualism. She also covers how this affects her family life and the choices she makes for her children, something many immigrant parens and families in Canada are faced with. Yollanda taps into an important topic for discussion: when it comes to Canada heritage and future, immigrant families have contributed to the richness and diversity of this country.
We want to thank Yollanda for her work and insight into this matter and we look forward to continuing this important discussion with multilingual parents and families at future events
Yollanda is has been a contributing member and supporter of OME since its inception. She is currently the Director of Panda Mandarin Language Programs Inc. Find out more at www.pandamandarin.ca and www.facebook.com/PandaMandarin123
